I was reading Isaiah and came across this verse: "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him." (Isaiah 53:2) What a thought. The Son of God walked upon the earth, and if we were to have seen Him, we wouldn't have marveled at His beauty. Nothing in His appearance would have made us think "wow!" However, for those whose eyes have been opened to see Jesus for who He is, we canÂ't help but sing of His beauty. Forever our souls must sing of how glorious and beautiful He is.
Wonderful, so wonderful, is Your unfailing love
Your cross has spoken mercy over me
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart could fully know
How glorious, how beautiful You are
Beautiful one I love You
Beautiful one I adore
Beautiful one, my soul must sing
Powerful, powerful, Your glory fills the skies
Your mighty work displayed for all to see
The beauty of Your majesty awakes my heart to sing
How marvellous, how wonderful You are
You opened my eyes to Your wonders anew
You captured my heart with this love
'Cause nothing on earth is as beautiful as You
My soul my soul must sing
My soul my soul must sing
My soul my soul must sing
Beautiful one
