Meet me in blanket
Meet me in blind
For I'm so defeated
I'm terrified
All my doors are locked
Though there's nothing inside
Just a head full of holes
And a neat place to hide
And oh,
Such a tired poem
It would be
To say more through silence
To gasp and to breathe
And oh,
Such a crooked house
We'd have built
Wickets for walls
All the wine
We'd have spilled
So cast me out quickly
Fling me in shame
For I've been unholy
I've been untame
And hold me up from my neck
So the whole world can see
How you've been so kind
How you've been so clean
And oh,
Such a tired poem
It would be
To say more through silence
To gasp and to breathe
And oh,
Such a crooked house
We'd have built
Wickets for walls
All the wine
We'd have spilled
