We all have the weather in common
The earth, the wind, the sea and sky
But if we didn’t have the weather to talk about
What would we talk about?
How many fish will be left in the ocean?
How many birds up in the sky?
What will we say when our children ask about it?
How did we let the planet die?
What will we talk about, you and I?
For we live among people who have nothing in common
But a dream they left behind and a ruin they share
And we laugh about it all now that the children have grown up
But we can’t forget the promise when the dream is in the air
Hi neighbour, there’s a dream that we share
There’s a reason, gonna find it someday
Dream makers, true believers, it’s hard to stick together
Kindred spirit take heart
Hi neighbour, hello, hello, it’s me out here
I just stopped by to see if anybody’s home
Hi neighbour, hello, hello, it’s me out there
Is anybody home?
Hi neighbour, hello, hello, it’s me out here
Anybody there?
For we live among people who have nothing in common
But a dream they left behind and a ruin they share
And we laugh about it all now that the children have grown up
But we can’t forget the promise when the dream is in the air
In the face of what can we do
Could there be a song
Or when all is said and done
We’ll be lined up one by one
Where they’ll take us to a planet far away
Hi neighbour, there’s a dream that we share
There’s a reason, gonna find it someday
Dream makers, true believers, it’s hard to stick together
Kindred spirit take heart
Hi neighbour, hello, hello, it’s me out here
Anybody there?
Hi neighbour, hello, hello, it’s me out here
I just stopped by to see if anybody’s home
Hi neighbour, hello, hello
Hi neighbour, hello, hello
It’s me again, anybody home?
Hi neighbour, hello, hello
It’s me out here
