I remember daddys hands folded sighlently in prayer
And reaching out to hold me when i had a nightmare
you could read quite a story in the calusus and lines
years of work and worry have left their mark behind
i remeber daddys hands how they held my mama tight
and patted my back with something done right
there are things that ive forgotten that i loved about the man
but ive always remebered the love in daddys hands
