Long ago there was just a child
She was braver than most other souls who would never smile
There was no hope in them
All they saw was a wicked world and a crazy girl
In this wicked world
And this crazy girl was not like them.
Then one day she was just too tired of their anger, hatred
So she left, no one even cried
As she walked away they stood around
Nothing said out loud – there was not a sound
They were just too proud
There was not a sound
So she left them.
When will they learn that their thoughts are sacred?
If they had voiced even one word
She would have stayed and they would be stronger
Together they would survive.
Long ago there was just a town who had banished braveness
Consequence they had truly found and they cried out ‘save us!’
Now they weep for the one that’s gone
For she has moved on
To another town – where she is not bound by a silent way
So she chose to stay forever.
