Helios Amaranthine
I've seen the marvels that a dying sky doth bring
How in a sinking struggle the orb did lose its wings
I've seen the jagged peaks reach to grasp the fire
And felt the air grow cold as the stars and moon drew nigher
In the hearts of men such spectacle plants a seed
Compells him to revere the sun in every deed
One day when color fades and tides have turned so bleak
I will remember beauty from the light we ever seek
How evening seas refract the rays to spread into the deep
And cast a tired world into a gentle sleep
That day I'll fade into afar
To be embraced by our mother star
