Letter To Marion
(Robin Hood speaks)
Mary, I left my home in Sherwood
Where everything was understood
Just to see the large smile falling down
From the top of your lips
Then I see your place has changed so much
Instead of trees and leaves and birds
You got to breath the gas
Coming out from the cars on the streets
…So don't tell me I have to see this place again,
Don't tell me I have to come on back again."
Just to remember I get so upset
Everything was so beautiful, look what is left…
What have they done to this place, dear?
Everything's gray at this place
What have they done to this place?!?
And this people here are frightening me so much
They're looking as if they were angry with me
Why is it?
Mary, I crossed the roadway so fast
I didn't see the car pass
And then I was thrown up to the air
With the blood falling down from my lips
Dear love, I broke my legs and arms too
I could not get to see you
Down in a hospital bed I cry
And I write, with my life on your lips
…So don't tell me I have to see this place again
Things look so strange
Since everyone fails to explain
Why this things were made
They just keep saying: "It was necessary".
So why do they look so sad? That's strange
And crossing the streets I can't see what's necessary
And crossing the streets I can't see anything
And crossing the streets I just see buildings falling
And I ask myself: Why does it have to be so high
When there's so many beautiful places
To live on the earth
Why build so high?
Man, I just cannot find my girl
MARY!!!!
